During the night of 22nd to 23rd February 2019 Adriano Colombo succumbed to his illness and died. REST in PEACE dear ADRIANO!“Lo Scricciolo”, the Last Sad Chapter It is with deep sadness and regret that we note the passing of Adriano Colombo on February 23rd at the age of 78. He was the last of the Lo Scricciolo founders to pass away – Toni Moretto in 2011 and Giovanni Duso in 2013. We both were fortunate to have had some personal interactions with Adriano. He did two custom figurines for Jochen and his family, and one for Ron depicting his father as a magician. Ron also visited Adriano at his home in 2005 and got to meet his wife and daughter briefly. Adriano was exceedingly kind and gracious and took the time to give Ron a personal guided tour of Vicenza. Although the artists are no longer with us their memory will live on with the hundreds of Lo Scricciolo collectors around the world who appreciate their unique talents. Their adventure in clay has come to an end, but the 'argilla' will still live.

"Basically, it's always the connections with people that give life its value."-Wilhelm von Humboldt-Dear collector friends, thank you for visiting our website and for your friendship.Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all of you.Ron + Jochen
